Zangezur National Park
Wild leopard country in the mountains of Nakhchivan
Nakhchivan
42,797 ha
2003
Jun – Sep
Zangezur protects the rugged mountains of the Nakhchivan exclave, among the wildest and least-visited terrain in Azerbaijan. It is a stronghold for rare large mammals — the Caucasian leopard, the Armenian mouflon and the bezoar goat.
This is a park for serious mountain hiking and wildlife interest rather than easy day trips, reached via the separate Nakhchivan exclave. We plan the logistics, permits and guiding end to end.
