Spring & autumn (Apr–Jun, Sep–Oct)
The best all-round window — mild, green, and the mountain passes are open. Ideal for combined city-and-Caucasus itineraries.
Summer (Jul–Aug)
Hot on the lowlands and coast (Baku, Batumi), perfect in the high mountains (Svaneti, Kazbegi, Shahdag). We route around the heat.
Winter (Dec–Mar)
Ski season at Gudauri, Bakuriani and Shahdag, and the cities are atmospheric and quiet. Some high passes (Jvari, Abano) can close briefly.
