Visa & entry

Georgia: visa-free up to 1 year for most nationalities. Azerbaijan: e-Visa (ASAN) online, ~3 working days.

Currency & cash

Lari (₾) in Georgia, manat (₼) in Azerbaijan. ATMs everywhere; carry small notes for the mountains.

SIM & data

Cheap tourist SIMs/eSIMs at both airports. Strong 4G/5G in cities and on the main routes.

Driving & roads

We drive you — private vehicle and driver. Plan by drive time; some high passes are seasonal and 4×4-only.

Tipping

Optional but appreciated: round up, or 5–10% in restaurants; a per-day tip for guides and drivers.

Food for every diet

Halal, vegetarian and Jain all planned in advance. Georgia is a wine country; non-drinkers are well catered for.

Plugs & power

Type C / F sockets, 220V, in both countries. European two-pin plugs fit; bring an adapter from the UK/US.

What surprises people

How mountainous it is, how good and cheap the food is, how safe it feels, and how far a short drive can take you.
