On recognition abroad — our position
Whether a Georgian marriage is recognised in your home country depends on your country of residence or citizenship, and on whether apostille or full consular legalization applies. These are two different routes for two different destinations. We decline to answer the question in general — confirm with your own consulate before you book anything. That is the honest position, and we would rather give it than a reassuring sentence that quietly goes wrong.
Meanwhile, you can still explore venues and services, and we can arrange a symbolic ceremony anywhere in Georgia while the legal paperwork is handled separately.
