Note
Passes close from late Oct
Autumn is harvest time. In Kakheti the Rtveli grape harvest fills the villages with picking, qvevri pressing and supra feasts — the most Georgian experience of the year. The air turns crisp and clear, the hills glow gold and red, and the hiking stays good into mid-October before the first snow. Crowds thin after the summer peak, making it a superb season for wine, culture and photography.
