Note
Book early around the Grand Prix
Autumn may be the best all-round season. Baku settles into a comfortable 18–28°C, the light turns golden, and the countryside is deep in harvest: pomegranates at Goychay (with its own festival), grapes across the wine regions, apples and persimmons in the Quba orchards. September also brings the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix through the walls of the Old City — book well ahead. Sheki and Ganja are at their most atmospheric.
